Long winter has gone and
spring has come. Hello cherry blossom… and it’s the end of April already?!
(Seriously, didn’t I say it every month?)
Snow
Well, it was long winter.
And we had quite a lot of snow. At first, as usual, I was happy about having
snow and making snowman, perfecting its roundness. But then, we had record-breaking
snow twice and our area got more than 1 meter and things got into a mess.
Schools and shops were closed and so many buildings and carports were broken.
I’ve never seen this much
snow, and my tiny shovel seemed just useless in front of the 1m of snow chunk.
(So I was stuck in my house for a week. It was good for work though.) I don’t
know the best strategy to clear away that much snow, but I’m thinking about
buying a proper snow shovel this summer.
Birds
My birds (buncho/java
sparrow) are growing. Their feathers are changing into adults’ and their
personality is forming.
They both love iPhone and cucumber. Fuyu (white) likes
to kiss and Goma (gray) practices singing & dancing – so he’s a boy! I kind
of hoped these 2 become couple… but so far they won’t be.. (right after I took
this photo, they start fighting) whatever they’ll be, I’m happy with it. :)
Things to do in Spring
It seems like the spring
means “big cleaning time” in some countries. For us (I wrote about it before),
it’s time for new beginning. (The end of the year is the big cleaning time in
here) I failed to start something new last spring, so this year, I decided to
tackle both cleaning and beginning..
I’ve been trying to clear
some clutter ever since I saw the photo of this interview, thinking this would
be super easy to clean, but it’s really tricky when it comes to bookshelf (you
know..) But finally I decided to clear (at least) those piles of “I’ll read it later” and “it
may be useful someday”. I’m still in the process, but this tells me where my current
and all-time interests are. :)
Actually, I’m getting
tired of hearing me saying “someday” all the time. Considering the fact that I repeatedly
say “Already <insert month name>?!” for years, I’m no longer sure when
those “someday” will come. So, if I could turn 5%... or maybe 3% of all those “someday
tasks” into “current ToDo”, I’d be very happy. Baby step! :)
